Don't Limit Yourself

As many of you may be doing, I am currently watching the BYU football game against UCLA and, much to my surprise, WE ARE WINNING!  I'm not sure if we will win or not, but the fact that we are still in it, and currently up, is amazing! Thinking about that and this post got me thinking. Why let other people's thoughts or expectations (including your own) affect what you do?  It doesn't really matter if you succeed or fail, but rather that you know you left nothing on the table. That is what I want to focus on improving this week: make sure that when all is said and done (in anything I do) that I left nothing on the table and gave it all I had.  Herb Brooks - coach of the Miracle Olympic Hockey Team - said, "The important thing is that those boys know in twenty years, they didn't leave anything on the table. They played their hearts out. That's the important thing."

  1. I'm all in favor of this attitude. It's a hard way to live, but it is the happy way to live. It means more sweat, more tears, more pain, and more joy. Let's not just skim the surface of life, let's really live it!

  2. I once read if you can take one more step take it. I really liked that. I have really tried to apply this, it does not really matter what the outcome it as long as you gave it everything that you had. Good luck with your goal.
